Wednesdays Unplugged – Raspberry Romaine Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

NOTE: I spend my Wednesdays Unplugged from appointments. It's my day to stay home, enjoy cooking and welcome our kids and grandkids for dinner in the evening. We end our meal with quotes from the Norwegian 'Quote Cup' passed on to me from my grandmother. I share a quote and a recipe here each week, and sometimes some photos of family fun. I love trying new recipes…and love getting recipes you would like to share!

QuotecupQUOTE OF THE WEEK

"What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

It feels good getting back into the regular routine after a wonderful holiday season. It will feel good to be cooking again today, this has been a busy week already, with eager buyers and sellers alike.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

This salad recipe has become a holiday favorite…so much so that I like it any time of year. I plan to serve it tonight with some soup. I especially love the poppy seed dressing. It was fun pulling out the original recipe and seeing my hard-to-read notes, made with my left hand when I broke my wrist 6 years ago…it's actually pretty amazing I could read them at all!

RASPBERRY-ROMAINE SALAD with POPPY SEED DRESSING
