Staging a Very Small Space

This weekend I'm staging a home in South Minneapolis.  It's really a cute house and is move in ready.  The house is small, but quaint.

I've been visualizing what I'm going to put in there for the last couple of days.  My biggest challenge is the finished attic. The steps going up are very steep and then once you get up there, the ceiling is low.  I can stand right in the middle of the room, but that's it….and I'm 5'5".

The pictures of the space look really good:

My goal is to make every livable space attractive to everyone. That's how you should stage.  People need to see how a room could work for them.  Empty rooms (no matter how small) don't register with buyers.

I did another similar staging with an area like this one.  That room ended up with a small desk, chair and floor pillows showing an area that you could sit and work in….or relax on the pillows and read a book.

But this time, I'm going to do a children's area (and kids would love this room!!!) So, after this weekend, Hannah Montana will be there to entice buyers!!

For my next blog, I'll post after pictures of this great house….and the new "children's loft"!
