Every July REALTOR magazine, the official magazine of the National Association of Realtors, publishes its list of the top 100 real estate companies in the United States. What I like about their rankings is that they aren’t just based on sales volume, which can vary significantly based on part of the country and type of properties sold. They rank first by number of transactions…in other words, how many properties are sold, regardless of price.
Although most people have heard of RE/MAX and recognize it as a leading worldwide real estate company, many don’t know that all offices are independently owned franchises. I am proud to be part of RE/MAX Results, the only independently owned real estate company in Minnesota to make the top 100 list this year at #38 in total number of transaction sides.
What is more noteworthy is that when ranked by the average number of transaction sides per salesperson we are #3 in the country!
The only other Minnesota-owned company on the list this year is the company that owns Edina Realty, which ranks #2 in total number of transactions. Impressive, but it is a national corporation and their numbers include 19 residential realty companies throughout the country in addition to Edina Realty. They have a total of 18,820 total nationwide salespeople compared to our 430 local agents, and rank #68 when measured by average number of transaction sides per agent.
So what difference does this make to you? It means that RE/MAX Results agents are productive salespeople who are selling (not just listing) homes on a regular basis. It is a network of hardworking, knowledgeable people.
